Fee Types

The Budget Fitz Rate Card is designed to keep doing business with Budget Fitz affordable while supporting the growth of your business. It is crafted specifically for Budget Fitz sellers, with simplicity, clarity, and competitiveness in mind. Fees at Budget Fitz are determined by factors such as the product category, shipping method, and selling price of your items.

Fixed Fees (Platform Opportunities)

The Fixed Fee is based on your seller level within the Budget Fitz Business Program and the type of fulfillment you select, as outlined in the table below. These fees contribute to supporting various platform initiatives, such as product innovation and overall improvements, which create additional growth opportunities for sellers. With a tiered structure for Fixed Fees, Budget Fitz strives to continuously enhance its services and provide a better ecosystem for sellers to grow and expand their businesses.

Please note that the information above is based on the standard rate card and may be subject to change. While it applies to most categories, some categories may not be included in the above description. For the most accurate and up-to-date fees related to your sale, we recommend that sellers visit the Pricing & Commission Page on Budget Fitz. You can also stay updated on the specific fees for your transactions through our regular email notifications.

Commission Fee (Category)

The commission fee is a percentage-based charge applied to the final selling price of your product on Budget Fitz. This fee varies depending on the product category. We’ve made adjustments to the commission fees for both Fulfilled by Budget Fitz (FBBF) and Non-Fulfilled by Budget Fitz (NFBBF) orders, simplifying the process for sellers.

To find the exact commission fee for your product, we recommend logging into your Budget Fitz seller account. Additionally, it’s advisable to regularly check the Pricing & Commission page in the Header menu of the Budget Fitz Vendor Registration Page and stay updated with regular Pricing and Commission emails, as some categories may have specific commission rates not covered in the general information.

Shipping Fee (Weight and Location)

Budget Fitz applies a minimum shipping fee for products weighing less than 500 grams for local and zonal shipping. Shipping fees are determined by either the actual weight or volumetric weight of the product, whichever is greater. Volumetric weight is used for lightweight items that occupy a large amount of shipping space. This approach ensures fair and accurate shipping charges based on the actual or volumetric weight of the product being shipped.

Volumetric Weight (kg) = Length (cm) X Breadth (cm) X Height (cm)/5000

Please note that the information provided above is based on the standard rate card and may be subject to change. While it covers most scenarios, some exceptions may apply. To obtain the most accurate and up-to-date shipping fees for your sale, we recommend logging into your Budget Fitz seller account. You can also stay informed by visiting the ‘Pricing & Commission’ section on the Budget Fitz ‘Vendor Registration’ page or by regularly checking your Budget Fitz emails for updates.

Local (Intracity): Items are shipped within a city.

Zonal (Intrazone): Items are shipped within the boundaries of a zone (North, South, East, West).

National (Interzone): Items are shipped across zones

How to calculate your gross margin?

To calculate your gross margin for each sale, you can follow these indicative steps:

Total Budget Fitz Fee = Fixed Fee + Commission Fee + Shipping Fee (if applicable)

Gross Margin (excluding GST) = Selling Price of the product – Total Budget Fitz Fee charged

Here’s an example to clarify

As a Gold Level seller, you have selected Fulfillment by Budget Fitz (FBBF) as your preferred fulfillment option. You are selling a saree on Flipkart for ₹350 (sale price).

Step 1:

Calculate Shipping Fee

Geography: If you’re selling a product from Ludhiana to a customer in Bengaluru, the national shipping cost will apply.

Weight: The weight of the final packed product must be measured, and the corresponding price will be applied.

For example, if the packed product weighs 400 grams, the shipping cost will be ₹16.

Step 2:

Calculate Commission Fee

Apply the relevant percentage to the product. Given that the selling price is ₹350, a 5% commission fee will be applicable.

5% x ₹350 = ₹17.50

Step 3:

Calculate the Fixed Fee:

As the seller is a Gold Level seller using FBBF, the fixed fee will be ₹57.00.

Step 4:

Total Budget Fitz Fee

₹16 + ₹17.50 + ₹57 = ₹90.50

Step 5:

Calculate Gross Margin

Selling Price = ₹350

Budget Fitz Fee = ₹90.50

Total Margin = ₹350-₹90.50 = ₹259.50

Note: The figures provided above are for illustrative purposes only and are meant to offer a general understanding. Actual fees may vary depending on factors such as the specific service chosen, product dimensions, weight, volumetric weight, category classifications, additional services, recent rate card updates, applicable GST, and other considerations. While the information provided covers a wide range of scenarios, some exceptions may apply. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on the fees related to your sales, we recommend logging into your Budget Fitz vendor account. You can also stay informed through email notifications from Budget Fitz or by visiting the ‘Pricing & Commission’ page on the ‘Budget Fitz Vendor Registration’ page.
